Wine Cork Straight

Unique design wine corks for home brew.

  1. Its tapering end makes it easy to mallet (rubber/soft hammer) it down without any special equipment.
  2. Being synthetic cork, it will not dry up, shrink and oxidize the wine. A common problem is wine bottles that are stored upright on shelves that don’t have a wine rack.
  3. Its unique design makes it easy to seal the bottle without investing in expensive corking equipment.

Cork the bottles and serve them like a pro. Fits standard wine bottle (750ml, long neck, dimple bottom)

These are standard 1.75 inch (44mm) long straight corks. The diameter is 22mm. To be used with a long neck (preferably dimple bottom) glass bottles.

Natural cork promotes micro-oxidation and promotes aging of beverages. Hence the corked bottles need to be stored at a slant for best results and preventing dry out.

You can use molten crayons to seal the top in the traditional way or use the heat shrink sleeves to do it the commercial way. Do remember to soak the corks in Campden powder (potassium metabisulfite) to disinfect before corking.

Great product. Just make sure to not soak in 'boiling' water while sanitizing them with p-metabi sulphite, otherwise they may deform. [Had a batch of corks ruined just like that :-( ] Since they are synthetic, a soak in luke warm water is enough while sanitizing. Just batched a bunch load of bottles for long term bottle conditioning with this cork and some wax sealing. Seems to hold up fine. Would recommend.

Good substitute to cork. Finishing is smooth, no smell of rubber, easy to fit.

thanks for reminding. yes just soaking them in disinfectant is sufficient

Works perfectly. Tried on a standard glass bottle that originally had cap. Soaking the cork in hot water makes plunging it in the bottle neck via hand more easy. Seal is perfect and no leaks are seen. Would recommend.
