For Beer wort we pump in oxygen so that yeast has a healthy fermentation. in case of kombucha we pump in oxygen so that all ethanol that is generated is oxidized to acetic acid and food safety/excise issues are tackled.

This diffusion stone is made from SS-304. It can be autoclaved and cleaned with acid-based sanitizers. Attach the barbed end with 50cm of 5mm beer line or flexible tubing to get started. The 0.5 micron is the smallest size pores possible. It will make micro bubbles which will readily get the CO2 dissolved in 15-30 minutes. Keep the beverage at 4 degrees for the fastest and maximum absorption.

Instructions:

  1. Please boil this stone before and after every use.
  2. It is very delicate with micro-pores. Hence don’t touch it with bare hands. Always use gloves or tongs
  3. If the stone is clogged, Boil it. Then pump 1-2 PSI air through it to declog.
  4. You can use brewing sanitizer to remove any Calcium/magnesium (brewing salt) deposits.
